Photo Challenge ....Sky

These are mountain skies of the Sierria Mountains where I will be a few hours. We are going up there to meet our daughter and her family for some camping and motorcycle riding. It should be lovely there. I have tried to visit everyone before I left but with the system down and getting ready, I am sure that I missed a lot of people. I wiil see you all in a few days and I look forward to all the new and wonderful places you are going to show me. See you next Wednesday!!!!
Love "E"

Very nice pictures. I used to ride but haven't for a long time.
Hope you have a great time

Cactus Garden

Agave
Bunny Ears
Barrel
These are some of my cactus plants. I love the shapes and textures of the cactus plant. They are very interesting to grow and also anything that grows well here in the desert has thorns

Love these....fond of cacti, perhaps because they are the only thing I can grow here that the dogs aren't interested in Sun 5-Sep-2004 11:32

Photo Challenge....Water

This water is strictly "for the birds" Taken at Mono Lake, Sierra Mountains, California. These are the seagulls that live there. Mono Lake is a nesting place for the seagulls and 85% of all California seagulls begin life at Mono Lake

so peaceful..... Thu 26-Aug-2004 18:25

oh, these are lovely. so, since the water is strictly only for the birds, means that people can't swim/boat/fish there? Fri 27-Aug-2004 20:15

Nothing like home sweet home for the birds. Where do the other 15% nest? Sun 29-Aug-2004 01:58

Found...One Feather

This feather (about one inch long) was caught in a spiderweb that had been made, by some intrepid spider, in between one of my cactus plants. It is probably from a mockingbird, they are all around eating the grapes that are left on the vines. It was suspended there, just one perfect, tiny feather, as if it were on display.

Great shots! the pic look simple but a lot of characters! love it so much! Thu 26-Aug-2004 08:33

It has been so hot here lately, all I do is try to stay cool. I kind of wish it would be winter soon. But actually the nicest part of the year is coming soon. Fall is a beautiful time of the year here in the desert. Nice warm ( not hot ) days and cool nights, without the winds that plague the spring time

PS.. Thanks to everyone for the kind anniversary wishes.
You are all such dear friends

Love #4....super shots....all of them!! Mon 23-Aug-2004 22:40

Today is my 43rd Wedding Anniversary. Seems like only yesterday, and then again it seems like it has always been. It has been wonderful, even the times when the road was bumpy, these 43 years have been the best, (and they said it wouldn't last.)
Happy Anniversary to you, Richard, I love you
(Were we ever really that young?)

happy belated anniversary!

u two look so sweet together.
