We went fishing and camping in the Owen's Vally and the Sierra Mountains. Nine wonderful days enjoying the wonders of nature. As usual, it was hard to leave there for the return to reality.

These were the highlights of our weekend

Yesterday the sprinklers came on and made a rainbow. It would seem to me that the pot of gold should have been been in my wheelbarrow. But when I looked the little people had already hidden it somewhere else

I am abouit 3 weeks away from leaving to go to the Sierra Mountains for the opening day of trout season. We usually go with my brother-in-law and he and my husband fish. I am not much of a fisherperson but I tag along and take pictures of their catches and any thing else that I see that interests me. We haven't been any where since Christmas and I am way over due for my "nature fix". Since I don't have any new photos to share right now I will share some of the last places we fished. Hope you enjoy them

These are a few of my photos of Antimony and surrounding area.The quality of these is not very good as they were taken awhile ago and then scanned. But it will give you an idea of the kind of scenery there. We will be going there (Yea!!!) in May and I will take some new photos to show you the beauty of the place. Of course in all fairness to Google, it is 50 miles, one way, to a real restaurant, movie theater, K-Mart or any other place to shop. But if you want scenery, to catch a fish, or kill a deer, this is THE PLACE.

These are my two dogs whom I love dearly. In spite of the huge vet bill for a broken leg, the new comforter that now has a gigantic hole in it, the quest to find just the perfect dog food that will not be rejected and the weekly trip to WalMart to restock my supply of pens that are destroyed daily. They are still the ones that are always happy to see me and to be with me no matter what I what to do, so I quess I wiil just have to keep on letting them boss me around

This shot is at the San Diego Zoo. This is a huge aquarium with fish swimming by and the occasional duck. Caught this fellow as he swam by next to the side.

These are pictures from our camping trip at Palo Verde, a small town that is located on the California side of the Colorado River. Great fishing here for bass and other fish. We caught a respectable amount. Very Yummy
